I plan to steal the Ox this summer - that is, steal away from my working life here in America and to study at one of the most esteemed universities in this world. Pretty casual summer plans if I do say so myself.
This is the longest I will have been overseas in my entire twenty years of life and I plan to make the most of it. Fabulous cuisine? I'll be eating it (hopefully - mince meat pies aren't really my idea of "fine dining"). Inspiring cultural museums? The art history nerd in me will surely be overwhelmed. Trying to fool locals while practicing my English accent? Absolutely, and embracing whatever embarrassment comes my way.
I have no idea what to expect, but I have a grand feeling that it will be incredible. Follow along as I share my stories from across the pond.
